Decisions, decisions...

...always so many to make when stocking up for the busy Christmas season! Cue my trip to Top Drawer and the ordering of some lovely goodies (preview pics below).

Top Drawer is an annual trade exhibition at Kensington Olympia filled with row upon row of stands supplying homewares, stationary, gifts and the like. On my first ever visit to one of these shows I was like a kid in a sweetie shop as there is just so much to see (I also felt like a fraud as I didn't have a shop at that point)! It is still rather an assault on the senses but I let my heart do the talking as I zip up and down the aisles. If something jumps out at me as different, whether by colour or design, then I stop to take a closer look.

Today my first stop was at the stand of one of my lovely suppliers, Krystyna from Parkminster Candles. Time for some early morning sniffing and smelling of candles (there must be a more technical term?). Every scent smelt gorgeous to me but decisions needed to be made so I ordered more of last years favourites - lavender, mandarin spice and fresh fig - along with some new scents - cedar and meadow. I've gone with the popular mini candles as well as the new large votive candle which has a burn time of 60 hours (pictured below).

Parkminster's stand was opposite the nkuku stand, a favourite of mine who I am yet to stock from...until now! They have introduced over 100 new products for Autumn/Winter and to me this is their best and most interesting collection yet. nkuku (Nuh-Koo-Koo) products are all eco friendly and fair trade and I've started the ball rolling with their hanging glass photo frames. They are so simple and stylish with a slide catch at the top and a recycled sari tie. You can display photos, postcards, prints, drawings...in fact anything flat that you would like to display!

Finally, I picked up my order of Pompom garlands today. They are so unique, having been made from yarn pom poms which are strung into a wire to be hung as a garland. Modern, different and perfect as a Christmas decoration. They are available in red, white and multi-coloured.

All of these things will be available to buy very soon...
