If you are a sewing novice, like me, the very idea of mending your clothes may well be overwhelming.
Introducing the perfect solution! A starter kit for you containing everything you need to repair a range of clothes; from jeans and jumpers to socks and coats. With this kit you can either sew, patch or darn clothes that are in need of TLC.

This kit contains a selection of different sized needles and threads. The threads are in a variety of textures and colours so you can choose the best fit for your item of clothing.
There are a varied selection of fabrics - plain, denim, striped, checked - in a variety of colours, so that once again you can choose the fabric patch which best suits the clothing that you are mending.
1 chenille needle for darning 1 long cotton darner needle 2 sharp needles (for general sewing/mending) (On a square of felt)
3-4 cotton poplin / shirting patches
3-4 x denim patches
1 x heavier weight cotton fabric for outerwear and accessories
1 x jersey stretch fabric for sportswear and leisurewear
1 x rip stop coated polyester for waterproof jackets
2 x wool mix darning yarns (the thicker thread) 2 x cotton embroidery yarns for either darning or Boro style patching (red and white) 1 x denim coloured polyester thread for mending jeans

2 instruction cards are included with reference to darning and patching videos made by our supplier Fast Fashion Therapy.
You will need to use your own sharp scissors, and for darning, a darning mushroom or equivalent which could be a lemon, end of a pestle (pestle & mortar), water bottle etc.
Fast Fashion Therapy are a London based business who specialise in clothes mending repair kits and workshops, to encourage everyone to learn to sew, patch and darn their old clothes and break out of the habit of always buying new.
The thread and cloth are reused / recycled from items that would have otherwise been thrown away. The needles are new and from British company John James Needles.

There are two packing options (images below): Option 1 - You can opt to have sent straight to your recipient. The box will be sent with the address label on the top, and 'This lovely package is especially for...' personalised with the recipient's name. This carries no extra charge.
Option 2 - You can opt to receive the gift sent yourself, tied with string and ready to give. This will arrive in additional outer packaging. This carries an extra charge of 75p.
