Bamboo Childrens Toothbrush

A biodegradable bamboo toothbrush with soft bristles, suited to little ones. Bamboo is a fabulous material - it grows and renews at speed without the need for pesticides and fertilisers, making it environmentally sustainable. I particularly like the style of this toothbrush, with its smooth handle. The curved bristles are made from 62% castor bean oil (a renewable vegetable oil) and 38% nylon.

Truthbrush is an independat British company, run by two friends with combined expertise as a hospital doctor and a buyer. They wanted to design a sustainable toothbrush with a stylish look and feel - hence the Truthbrush was born!

The toothbrushes are made in China using bamboo sourced from a local, sustainable bamboo plantation. Moso bamboo is used, which is a different variety to that eaten by pandas.

Although shipping to Europe has a carbon footprint, the amount is tiny for each brush. Truthbrush has chosen to carbon offset shipping from China to the UK.

End Of Life
Remove the bristles with a pair of plyers. The handle can be composted and will biodegrade - or reuse as a plant marker. The bristles will take longer to break down, but am better than most as they are not 100% nylon.
