A simple bar of handmade, cold-processed soap suitable for cleaning anything and everything.
A good old fashioned bar of soap handmade from 100% coconut oil, to a recipe that is 70 years old (see Bette's story below). Soap bars beat liquid soaps in the eco stakes, as they contain far fewer ingredients. Natural Soap, like this one, go one eco step further, containing only the good stuff - no detergents, dyes, fillers, perfumes, palm oil, phosphaes or other synthetic ingredients that contribute to a build-up of toxins in the house and waterways.
Far better for your health, and safer for the environment, natural soap is biodegradable with no residue (safe for septic tanks too). Simple, soft and gentle, it should be a must-have in every household!
In a cleaning capacity it works as an effective stain remover and is particularly useful for removing grease and oil stains (great for natural deodorant users, who may find some staining from the oil in their deodorant). You can also use around the house with a cloth or loofah moistened with warm water.

About Mangle & Wringer Mangle & Wringer is a small UK company based rather aptly in The Old Laundry, Gloucestershire. It was founded in 2012 by Vanessa Wilkes, who wanted to create a range of simple and safe natural cleaning remedies based on the traditional methods of her wonderful housekeeper, Bette (aka Mrs Mangle). Bette generously agreed to pass on her wisdom to Vanessa, and thus the rest of us! Her tips and recipes were gained over years of working in housekeeping and laundry, starting out 'in servie' in London Belgravia at the age of 14 years.
Taught how to make soap by her mother, Bette only ever used her own handmade remedies, preferring them over mass-produced detergents. As Bette wisely pointed out, we've seen a huge rise in allergies since introducing toxins into our homes, and mass produced cleaning products are full of synthetic perfumes and chemicals. It is time to return to the old ways (are the best ways!).
