A graceful full length 100% cotton kimono dressing gown with belt. The green is a gorgeous grey green muted shade, with pink roses jumping out of the fabric design. This beautiful print suits everyone!
I've been stocking this collection of robes since the early days, and they have continued to be firm favourites ever since. I think it is the classic design, evocative of a cottage garden, that has always proven so popular.
They are also so easy and comfortable to wear, particularly for drifting around the house and garden looking stylish (without the need to get dressed :-)).
The gown has a cotton tie waist with drop shoulders and two hidden side pockets. One size fits 8 to 16. Length 128cm. If you would like a bigger size, please message me [email protected]
Gift wrap is available on this item; choose from brown paper and string or Christmas wrap.
Machine wash at 30 degrees. Line dry to keep in best condition. Clothing is dyed using environmentally approved Azo-free dyes.
You will be trailblazing with a unique piece of nightwear that can't be found on the high street. Unlike mass produced lines, this range is designed by a very small UK designer, Gabrielle Parker, who is hands-on at every stage of production. You will also be supporting the small fairtrade enterprise that makes the nightwear, and the small scale cotton farmer that grows the cotton.
About Gabrielle Parker/ Sustainability
Gabrielle Parker is a small, friendly business based in East Sussex with whom we very much enjoy doing business. Gabi's beautiful designs draw inspiration from a trip around Asia that she took in her 20s, when she fell in love with Indian culture, textiles and colour. The nightwear collection is made at a fairtrade factory near a town called Pushkar in Rajasthan. Gabi visits twice a year, and has watched the company grow into a community business with a great atmosphere. The cotton is grown locally to the factory, and whilst the small farm doesn't have organic status, the cotton is grown without pesticides.
End of Life
Cotton is biodegradable at end of life. When your dressing gown is finally worn out, consider tearing up for cloths and/or kindling before placing on your compost heap or in a fabric recycling bin.
'Great service and beautiful product. I ordered a summer cotton kimono dressing gown which arrived the very next day. The quality is excellent. It fits perfectly and the design and colour is exactly as shown in the photos. I love it. Well done The Wise House!' -Fiona'
'I saw these beautiful dressing gowns whilst at the Hampton Court Show and did the usual and told myself I didn't need it but as always got home and wished I had bought one! Tracked them down and so glad I did. Price was great and I like the fact that unlike a lot of sites there was lots of pictures of them and details about them. Placing the order was simple and delivery fantastic and within two days of ordering. I like that The Wise House use really decent strong post envelopes which are recyclable and which protected it really well (a lot of parcels come looking like they have been used like a rugby ball). Very happy with my beautiful summer dressing gown and will definitely shop at The Wise House again. Thank you!' - Nicky
